Do You Know Jesus?

The Cross Road Quartet recently recorded a song by Rodney Griffin that
compares a life without Jesus to one in which Jesus reigns as King.

WITHOUT JESUS

Rodney Griffin-Songs Of Greater Vision/BMI

Without Jesus, my song’s an empty melody

Without Jesus, my life’s a hopeless cause

Without Jesus, I dare not face eternity

So helpless and lost, with no way to cross without Jesus

The one that I serve, He gives me worth

The only reason I have to boast

For when He determined to rescue me

He had to reach way down low

So every breath that I breathe and every note that I sing

Are only because of this Risen King

Without Him in my life, I’d have nothing that you desire

But with Jesus I have everything

A personal relationship with Jesus can make all the difference in your life.

How can you know Him?   Here are some things you should consider :

That you are a sinner

The Bible says "For all have sinned; all fall short of God's

glorious standard." - Romans 3:23  This is a problem for us, because God's

punishment for sin is death–not just physical death, but a spiritual death

which will cause separation from God and His kingdom for eternity.

That God loves you very much

The Bible says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only

begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have

everlasting life."-John 3:16   Even though you are separated from God

because of your sin, God made a way for you to come back to Him.  And,

He is offering this salvation to you as a free gift. All you have to do is receive it.

That Jesus died in your place
Why Jesus died in your place, how He rose from the dead and went to be

with God for all eternity might be difficult for you to understand.  But if you

can trust that the Bible is true, even if you don't fully understand all that it says,

you can receive God's gift of eternal life.  The Bible says "Believe in the

Lord Jesus and you will be saved."-Acts 16:31

God's gift is available to you... are you ready?
The Bible says "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be

saved."-Rom 10:13  If you will trust that Jesus died for your sins, you can

pray to invite Jesus into your life.  If you're not sure what to say, try this:

Dear Jesus, I don't fully understand how you could love

and care for me, but I know that I'm a sinner and  I believe and accept

that your Son, Jesus, died on a cross, in my place, for my sins.  Come

into my life, forgive my sins, and make me a new person.  Amen

Go and tell somebody!

If you  have invited Jesus into your life, you have a personal

relationship with God through Him.  No matter what situations you

may be facing, you now have a friend that is always just a prayer away.

He wants your life to be complete and full of peace, joy and contentment.

More than that, you can now be assured that when you pass from this world,

you will be ushered into the presence of God for all eternity.  This is

a defining moment in your life... get excited... go and tell somebody

what God has done for you today.

WHAT NEXT?

Your journey with Jesus has just begun and there is so much to learn and

be excited about.  We suggest that you find a good, Bible believing church in

your area and attend their Bible study programs and worship services.

Get to know and fellowship with other Christians.  They will be a great source

of strength and encouragement as you embark upon this new phase in your life.

Every day, read God's Word and share your joys and concerns with Him

in prayer.  He cares about you... personally... by name!
